Emergency COVID Response Package (ECRP) of 1544 crore approved by Delhi Government

• Delhi cabinet, headed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal approved 1544.24 Cr fund to enhance testing labs, manage covid care centers, procurement of medical supplies, add additional healthcare workers and improve healthcare facilities
• The step was taken to be prepared for expected 3rd wave of covid
• Cost break down is as followes
• Rs 415 Crores for COVID-19 Testing & Labs facilities
• Rs 445 Crores for procurement of medical supplies
• Rs 280 crore for improving Health Facilities
• Rs 125 Crores have been allocated for Covid Care Centres

India & Bhutan to have 7 additional trade entry-exit points 

• In 2020-21, the trade between India and Bhutan stood at USD 1,083 million which was more than double as compared to 2014-15 (~ USD 480 bilion)
• The additional 5 trade entry-exit points identified are as follows

1. Nagarkata Land Customs Station without commodity restriction
2. Agartala Land Customs Station
3. Pandu port at Guwahati Steamerghat. It is subject to cross border control at Dhubri
4. Jogighopa port. This port is also subject to cross border control at Dhubri.
5. Asian Highway 48 that connects Torsha Tea Garden in India with Ahllay in Bhutan. This highway acts as an additional route corresponding to the Land Customs Station at Kamardwisa, Jaigaon and Birpara

India Post Payment Bank & _______ singned MoU for offering home loan to customers

• HDFC Bank
• IPPB has 4.7 crore customers and with new partnership HDFC will be able to provide its house loan facility to unserved areas. IPPB has wide network of 650+ banches including rural areas where loan facility was absent.
• IPPB will source the loan whereas rest like handling credit, legal processes, approval and disbursement will be taken care by HDFC

Asian Development Bank (ADB) & GOI entered into loan agreement for urban mobility of Mizoram

• ADB & GOI entered into $4.5 million project readiness financing (PRF) loan urban mobility by identifying high-priority urban transport investments in Aizawl
• PRF supports the development of long-term solutions for improve urban mobility by identifying high-priority urban transport investments in Aizawl
